A d v e r t i s e m e n t Republic: No walk out at IT
Saturday, February 4 2012 There are no issues with Republic Bank’s Automated Teller Machines (ATM) in the aftermath of a computer glitch on Wednesday which resulted in customers not being provided with accurate statement balances. The bank issued a statement to a television station on Thursday which said it experienced “technical challenges” with its electronic banking system on Wednesday which affected some customers’ accounts. Less than one percent were affected. A newspaper report linked the problem with accounts to the downgrading of Information Technology staff of the bank, following a Job Evaluation exercise.
