Kelvin Ramsook has been appointed general manager of the Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (TTEC), effective yesterday.

In a statement, the Commission said that Ramsook was selected for the position after a “comprehensive assessment of several candidates, conducted by the Board of Commissioners.”

Speaking on the new appointment, chairman of the Board of Commissioners Susilla Ramkissoon-Mark said, “Mr Ramsook has demonstrated the leadership and management capabilities required to guide the organisation at this time. We have every confidence in his ability to implement the strategic goals that are necessary to improve TTEC’s business performance.”

Ramsook is an electrical engineer with over 25 years experience at TTEC. He has acted as the general manager of the commission on several occasions and has also served as assistant general manager–distribution, and area manager in South and Central distribution areas.
