FINANCE MINISTER Winston Dookeran yesterday declared the country’s financial systems are robust and Government has taken the necessary steps to protect them against money laundering. Dookeran made this declaration to reporters following the launch of a new $50 note by the Central Bank at the Eric Williams Financial Complex in Port-of-Spain.

Government is working on policies to address the challenge of decreased revenue and having to spend a significant amount of money on social programmes.
