Five students from the Arthur Lok Jack Graduate School of Business were among 25 Trinidadian students who visited Dominica from August 30 to September 5, for a Student Mission hosted by the CSME Unit of the Caricom Secretariat.

The mission to Dominica was one of nine missions geared at engaging participants in identifying career opportunities and business within the CSME.

As such, a series of engagements were arranged for the students with local government ministries and departments as well as with regional institutions and their senior management. The students also had the opportunity to meet and engage the Prime Minister of Dominica, Roosevelt Skerrit. These engagements aimed to cover topics relating to the CSME such as the Right of Establishment, Provision of Services, Free Movement of Goods, Skills and Capital.

The students were also required to prepare a country report on the visit which will be available at national libraries, universities, school libraries and the CSME website.

This mission represented the second phase of the project intended to allow students to engage the CSME. The first phase was conducted in 2008 and was funded by the European Union.
