McCann cops gold

MCCANN Port-of-Spain was the biggest winner at the recently held 2012 Advertising Agencies Association of Trinidad and Tobago (AAATT) local Creative Excellence Awards.
The agency won 15 golds and the Best of Show Print. McCann was also runner up for many of the other awards announced on the night.
McCann won GOLD awards in all major categories TV, Print, Radio And Digital. Among the winners were bpTT’s “Where there is energy” campaign”; bmobile’s 3D Value TVC; RBC Royal Bank “Blue Waters Water Project” Print; Nestle MAGGI “Eid Greetings” Print and the Coca-Cola “Happiness Corner” Carnival activation.
The Best of Show Print award went to Angostura for the Blu Vodka ad, “69 Ways To Enjoy Your Blu Vodka”. The ad also won Gold in the Food and Beverage category.
Earlier this year McCann swept the 2012 Caribbean advertising competition, the ADDY awards, by winning 15 Gold awards, the most of any agency in Trinidad. McCann also went on to win more gold at the Florida advertising 4th District ADDY awards.
Creative Director Marvin Imamshah commended his team for another excellent performance at the local awards, “A lot of hard work and passion went into producing these ideas and we are incredibly grateful to our talented production partners who helped bring them to life.”
McCann’s General Manager James Smith added, “We are certainly proud of these awards and the great collaboration we have with our clients to not only produce award-winning ads but work that continues to create demand for their brands”.
