THIS year, DHL, the world’s leading logistics company, has improved its platform with new and innovative technological tools that give customers complete control over all their processes. My DHL is a new portal that will facilitate the online shipment process. By registering just once, customers will enjoy an easy and efficient experience, which will allow them to perform and monitor their shipments.

Aligned with our strategy focused on small and medium enterprises’ customer loyalty, My DHL is especially designed to help small and medium businesses. It is a key, tangible piece that helps drive our global strategy toward higher sales volumes and revenue within this segment of the market at an international level. Using the new portal, customers can manage all tools they need to work electronically. Importers and exporters will continue using the same global applications, such as WebShipping (WSI), Import Express Online (IEO) and ProView. Changes to the functionality or capacity of these applications have not been made; they have only become easier to use and access, all through the same place.

Mayra Castillo, general manager of DHL Express Trinidad and Tobago, said that with the new portal customers will obtain greater control over password management, and will have access to “a broad range of DHL International services, through just a few clicks.”

Castillo explained that the applications one can access on the portal include: DHL WebShipping International, an online shipment solution that allows customers to create invoices, print export labels, coordinate collections, store addresses and monitor shipments; DHL Import Express Online, which effectively coordinates communications between importers and exporters for full control over their accounts; and DHL ProView, which offers customers a detailed report of each action during the shipment process and automatically reports the status via email or through text messages. Castillo added that “this portal is the last step we were missing to offer small and medium enterprises a full proposal that will help this sector in particular.”

To use My DHL, customers must register at www.dhl.com/mydhl. Then, customers will receive a confirmation e-mail allowing them to return to the page, enter their login information and create a profile with their personal preferences.
