MEMBERS OF the senior national football team are as ready as can be for the Gold Cup, given the limitations of their preparation for the event; now, the pressure is on to ensure they produce their best from game one of the biennial CONCACAF championship.

TRINIDAD AND Tobago’s football team will leave today, from 12.30 pm, for Fort Lauderdale in Florida, United States for a six-day training camp before their opening CONCACAF Gold Cup match against Guatemala on July 9.

TRINIDAD AND Tobago can expect to medal in both track and field events at this month’s Pan Am Games in Toronto, Canada. Yesterday, the National Association of Athletic Administrations (NAAA) released the final squad, which includes 20 male and 16 female athletes, as well as nine team officials.
