VENI and Friends hosted a Carnival band named For Allyson to honour the memory of Allyson Hennessy, the veteran television presenter who for decades hosted the ‘live’ coverage on television of the annual Carnival celebrations.

The bandleader of the band For Allyson was her sister Rosemary Hezekiah and the revellers in the band were seen dancing and prancing along Adam Smith Square on Carnival Tuesday. It was a fitting tribute for Allyson who passed away in May 2011.
