GRIEVING MOM SPEAKS: Roxanne Friday, left, holds her 14-month-old granddaughter, Destiny, as Destiny's mother, Samantha George stands next to them at...

An investigating officer into Sunday’s killing at the La Cabana Bar in Curepe reportedly took an eyewitness to the Forensic Science Centre yesterday where the bodies of Tyrone “Spoon” Browne and Hamza “Lovell” Friday of Second Caledonia, Morvant, were pointed out as being the shooters involved in the Sunday’s massacre in which five persons were killed.

Both Browne and Friday, according to a release last night by the Ministry of National Security, were responsible for killing five people in Curepe at the weekend.

Both men were shot dead by police at a house in Small Street, off Granado Street, Sawmill Avenue on Tuesday.

It was reported that on Tuesday at about 11.15 am officers entered the premises of a house where the police said they were confronted by Tyrone “Spoon” Browne and Friday.

Police said the men opened fire on them forcing them to return fire.

Browne and Friday who were shot were both taken to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex at Mount Hope, where they were pronounced dead on arrival.

Police claimed that they recovered a pistol and 11 rounds of ammunition, a revolver and four live rounds of ammunition and two spent shells. Friday was the father of a 14-month-old girl, Destiny.

However, speaking with Newsday yesterday at the Forensic Science Centre in St James, Roxanne said that she believed her son and Browne were not armed, but were cornered and ambushed in a house owned by an elderly person, identified as Mr Morgan.
