The result of an autopsy done on the body of Kerwyn Chan, 29, on Tuesday was inconclusive because of the advanced state of decomposition, investigators working on the case said on Wednesday.

Chan, a labourer of El Pariso Farm Road, Guaracara, Williams-ville, lived alone and was found dead at his home on Monday.

Police said the body bore a wound to the head.

Chan was found by a friend who went to visit him.

Police have also ruled the death of Roger Peschier, 45, who was said to be Chan’s close friend, as a suicide.

Peschier died as a result of asphyxia due to hanging.

He was found at an abandoned house at Battoo Lands, Marabella, on Sunday.

Police also believe Issac Gobin, 79, of Wallerfield, Arima, whose lifeless body was also found on Sunday on the jetty at Kings Wharf, San Fernando, committed suicide.

Police said an autopsy on Gobin’s body revealed that the pensioner died after ingesting poison.

Investigations are continuing.
