AN UNIDENTIFIED man who was caught shoplifting at the Arima Branch of Hi-Lo Food Stores was found dead with his wrists slit yesterday.

According to a police report, the man was caught shoplifting by supermarket employees who subdued and subsequently locked him in a room before calling the police.

When officers arrived at the food store they found the shoplifter dead on the floor. Upon further checks, the officers discovered the man dead with his wrists slit. Up to late last night, the man remained unidentified. Officers of the Arima Police Station are investigating.
