A 35-YEAR-OLD man was shot in the head by a man who pointed a gun through the louvres of his home at Bon Air, Arouca, on Monday night.

According to the police, at about 11 pm, Troy Callendar was asleep at home at Mockingbird Gardens when he heard a noise. Police said when Callendar went to investigate, he saw a man standing outside his window.

The man then pointed a gun at him and shot him in the head. Callendar’s relatives who were in the house saw him stumbling through the house. He was bleeding from his head.

Callendar was taken to the Arima District Hospital where he was then transferred to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex in Mount Hope where he was warded in a satisfactory condition up to yesterday.

Investigations are continuing.
