A 20-year-old Enterprise woman who went on a date with her boyfriend on Saturday, was instead abducted, raped and robbed by two men.

When the victim woke up later that day, she found herself lying in the bed of a hotel room in Mt Lambert.

According to a police report, the victim was walking with her boyfriend along Broome Street, Curepe, at about 1 pm, when a gold coloured Nissan Almera with two occupants pulled up alongside them.

The driver of the car exited and reportedly punched the boyfriend in the face, knocking him unconscious. The men then pulled the woman into the vehicle before driving away.

The woman told investigators she later awoke almost entirely naked in the room of a Mt Lambert hotel. She was raped and robbed of her cellphone, cash and jewelry. Investigators took descriptions of the two men and mounted a search for the suspects.

The district medical officer examined the victim and confirmed that she had in fact been sexually assaulted.

Officers at St Joseph Police Station are investigating.
