A MAN and a woman were up to yesterday in police custody after they were held in connection with the robbery of an oil worker in Fyzabad earlier in the day. The two are expected to be charged by Fyzabad police officers following investigations and are expected to appear before a Point Fortin magistrate today.

According to reports, at approximately 7.30 am, Linton Moraldo, 60, of 16 Richardson Street, Pepper Village, Fyzabad was working at an oil well facility when he was attacked by the two persons who tied him up, slashed his earlobe and demanded his bank card, jewelry and other valuables.

He was forced to divulge the personal identification number (PIN) for his bank account and $3,000 was later withdrawn from the account. Following quick work by police, the couple was held and subsequently identified by the victim.
