A d v e r t i s e m e n t Interpol, FBI on hunt for fugitive
Saturday, February 4 2012 INTERPOL officers of the TT Police Service are working closely with officers from the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) and other agencies as the search widens for wanted fugitive Sean Lopes, 46. Yesterday, senior police officials said several searches have been conducted for Lopes who is believed to have entered the country illegally, but he has not been found. Newsday leant that officers are still in the process of carrying out intelligence gathering exercises, in the hope that members of the public can lead them to the wanted man. Lopes, a Guyanese born national was sentenced in absentia to 15 years in jail on charges of kidnapping and attempting to murder his ex-girlfriend who is the niece of a US Federal Judge.
