Decision soon on football case
Thursday, July 5 2012 A DECISION is expected to be made by the rostering committee for judges as to whether the contempt of court application made by 13 aggrieved former national players of the 2006 World Cup football team against the Trinidad and Tobago Football Federation (TTFF), can be heard by a separate judge. Newsday understands that shortly after an agreement was arrived at for another judge to hear the contempt of court application at a hearing before Justice Devindra Rampersad on Monday in the Port-of-Spain High Court, the judge summoned both parties informing them he was told that he may not be able to separate the contempt application from the substantial lawsuit which he is presiding on.
