FAST food outlet employee Esther Belcon, 39, of La Brea Trace, Siparia, was yesterday granted bail in the sum of $150,000 on a charge for possession of a .40 Smith and Wesson pistol and seven rounds of ammunition. She appeared before Magistrate Joanne Connor in the First Siparia Magistrate’s Court.

Belcon, a mother of two, was jointly charged with Trevon Toussaint, 30, a father of two, and Kevon Carmichael, 28, of Duke Street, East Dry River, Port-of-Spain. Toussaint was also placed on $150,000 bail while Carmichael who was also charged with possession of five grammes of marijuana, was granted bail in the sum of $200,000.

The trio was arrested over the weekend in a house at La Brea Trace, Siparia, during a police exercise.

Charges were laid by PC Rudy Seecharan.
