MISSING: Rosie 'Bhougie' Ramoutar, missing since Saturday....

THE search for 84-year-old Rosie Ramoutar also known as “Bhougie” who went missing from her home at Chickland Road last Saturday, continued yesterday in the Caparo Valley forest yesterday. Attempts to locate the woman reached as far as Todd’s Road.

Relatives of the senior citizen became worried when she did not return after leaving home saying she was going “to take a walk in the land.” She was wearing a green dress and accompanied by her pet dog “Brownie.”

Judy Ramsaroop, a relative said the elderly woman would regularly go for walks on family owned property located across the road from her home to do a “little planting” or check on produce. Ramoutar has never gone missing before and Ramsaroop said since Saturday night villagers, police and army have been looking.

Ramsaroop said, “nothing has turned up, up to last night (Sunday) a helicopter was searching. Family has gone looking again this morning (Monday) for her.” Anyone with information on Ramoutar is asked to contact 733-0095, 744-2497 or 636-9914.

When contacted yesterday the Brasso Police Station said the elderly woman was not yet found.
