According to a police report, a 21-year-old man was liming at a bar in Chaguanas in the company of his 19-year-old friend. The former had cause to go to a car parked a short distance away from the bar and noticed that $700, which was kept in the vehicle was missing.

As the 19-year-old got out of the car and was walking away, the robbery victim drew a switch blade from his pants pocket and ran after the robber.
The Arima teenís right ear was cut off and he was stabbed several times. As the teen slumped to the side of the road, bleeding heavily from his wounds, the 21-year-old robbery victim got back into his car and drove off.
