THE HUMAN Potential Development Institute (HPDI) recently conducted its second grand graduation ceremony at its luxurious auditorium of the Praise City Complex, Caroni Savannah Road, Chaguanas.
The institute recently completed a 60-contact hour course — Professional Facilitator’s Programme — in association with Advanced Human Association (AHA). The programme was facilitated by Selwyn Bhajan, Director of AHA and Bishop Dave Alleyne, President of Flaming Word Ministry Praise City.
Valedictorian, Addis Luke-Samuel, a former Chemical Engineer at Caroni (1975) Ltd, Certified Quality Control Consultant, and currently a CLICO sales representative, in a very impressive address demonstrated her newly-developed skills of a professional facilitator.
Bishop Dave Alleyne, the chairman of the institute in his feature address entitled “Lifting Your Game” encouraged the graduates to become the best facilitators that they could be. It is not competing against others but against yesterday’s you so that present you and future you can excel beyond your wildest imagination.
He further informed the students to focus on facilitating rather than simply presenting and to take responsibility for transferring information that movement can take place in the audience (listeners) so that others will grow and move forward and never backward.
Through professional facilitating people are taken out of their darkness of ignorance to the glorious light of transforming knowledge.
The principal, Leah Radix shared vital information as to the future of the institute as it advances forward to provide certified and quality courses, awards and diplomas to the community and national and international society.
Of the many graduates all proudly receiving their certificates, Daphne Hernandez, 71 years, stands out as a testimony of the institute’s philosophy that we can learn at any age.
