Athaliah Samuel, the fourth runner-up....

ANNISA LARA was crowned Miss Elegance 2009 last Saturday night at the La Joya Complex in St Joseph.

La Joya came to life as 14 young women competed for the title. The delegates excited the audience as they made their first appearance on stage in their mini gold iridescent dresses dancing to “Dip It Low” by Christina Millian. This dance piece was choreographed by Jeuel- Marie Green Thompson.

The second appearance on stage was the much anticipated swim wear segment. Delegates wore mint green whole piece suits with gold rings down the front, from neck to the navel.

This segment was followed by the evening gowns, where the work of local and foreign designers were showcased.

The delegates were serenaded by Garvin Rodgers.

1st runner up - Monique Balfour

2nd runner up - Jo-Milla Archer-Alleyne

3rd runner up - Jillian Quashie

4th runner up - Athaliah Samuel Jillian Quashie won awards for Best Make-up, Best Hairstyle, Best Evening Gown, and Best Introductory Speech. Athaliah Samuel won awards for Best Complexion, Miss Congeniality and Best Physique.

Other winners included Miss Photogenic - Juliana James; Best Smile - Cliffvero Robinson;

Best Model – Cennette Vasconcellos;

Most Dedicated – Annemarie Alexander

Miss Intelligence – Annisa Lara.
