QUEEN’S HALL will erupt with laughter this Easter when DC Shell Theatre in association with Peter Kelly, Crazy Catholic and Learie Joseph stage The Good, The Bad and the Ugly, the first western comedy in Trinidad and Tobago.

The play is written and directed by the Crazy Catholic and features a 26 member cast, including Kelly as the Good and Learie as the Ugly. Other characters in the play are Lone Ranger, Apache Scratchie, Rawhide Kid, Billy the Kid, Chief Sitting Bull, Pocahontas, Sherrif Lobo, Jesse James, Crazy Contagious Comedians, Bounty Hunter, Deputy D, Lightfood, Silver, Cowboy X and many more.

The show is two hours and 15 minutes long and is appropriate for all audiences. As is customary with DC Shell productions there will be non-stop comedy (clean), original dances, live singing, full costuming, current national events and plenty surprises.

The play is the follow up to Enter the Dragon which was the first Kung Fu comedy in Trinidad. This show continues the pioneering trend of the Theatre who brought the first Bollywood play (Kuch Kuch Hota Hai), first fairy tale (Cinderella), first legend (Robin Hood), first musical comedy (Grease), first Kung Fu and now first western.

The play opens on March 29 at 8.30 pm with a special offer of two person on one ticket for $150. On the Baptist Holiday (March 30) there is a special matinee at 5 pm with two persons on one ticket for $180. There is also a special show for all SEA students on March 31 at 7.30 pm with prices as low as $20 for all SEA students. The show continues through the Easter weekend when regular prices of $100 (kids under nine), $125 (juniors ten-17) and $150 (adults) apply.

Tickets for the play are now available at outlets throughout the country. Queen’s Hall Box Office opens daily from March 25 at 11 am. For reservations or more information, call 750-0104, 796- 4272 or 683-6496.
