An investment in culture

Thursday, September 2 2010

FOR THE third consecutive year, First Citizens has agreed to sponsor the National Action Cultural Committee (NACC) Emancipation Calypso competition.

During the cheque presentation to NACC Finance Officer Moriba Kwamina, Dexter Charles, Manager of First Citizens Group Corporate Communications, said: “Emancipation is a part of our history that has had a profound impact on our development as a nation; endorsement of this project reaffirms First Citizens commitment to initiatives which supports our policies for cultural growth and awareness.”

The NACC supported by First Citizens created the forum for competitors of all age groups to celebrate Emancipation in song, and this is sustained beyond the holiday. The competition is scheduled to take place tomorrow at SWWTU Hall, Port-of-Spain at 7:30 p.m.
