Nine promising young beauties participated in the 2012 edition of Miss Pretty Plus pageant, which was held recently at Cascadia Hotel in St Ann’s.

The contestants, ranging from ages ten to 16, demonstrated their dancing skills with the opening routine, performing to Jennifer Lopez’ “On The Floor,” choreographed by Jeuel Marie Green- Thompson.

After a keen competition, which featured talent, elegantly casual, evening gown and question segments, Kennedy Providence was crowned Ms Pretty Plus 2012. Kennedy also received trophies for most dedicated, Miss Congeniality and best casual wear. The first runner-up was Dillanna Clopton, who was also awarded for the best introductory speech. Placing third, and taking home trophies for best complexion, best talent and best evening gown was Princess Leequay. In fourth place was Miss Photogenic, Chelsea Andell, while Mariah Samuel placed fifth, and received trophies for best smile, best model and best hairstyle.

The show was hosted by Candice Aching and Godfrey Pierre. The judges were Richard Young, Lester Rauseo, Susan Holland, Sherma Burke, Nadia Batson, Gale Brown-Tyson and chief judge Lucia Eligon.
