‘Olympics’ at Guaracara Park
By LAUREL V WILLIAMS Saturday, August 4 2012 IN commemoration of the 2012 Summer Olympics currently taking place in London, England, students and staff members of St Peter’s Private Primary School in Pointe-a-Pierre recently hosted their own version of this international prestigious competition. Entitled “Olympic Fun Day,” students indeed had a day of fun-filled events at Guaracara Park. The day began with a symbolic Olympic torch run from Petrotrin to Guaracara, said Michelle George who is one of the teachers at the school.
