THE People's Choice winner of the second Mastana Bahar semi-final, Anthony Batson, receives his prize from Shazmin Ali of Chief Brand Products....

Lenore Singh of Sangre Grande emerged winner of the second semi-final round of Mastana Bahar last week. Lenore impressed the judges with her arrangement of the popular songs “Suhani Raat” and “Oh La La” on the tenor pan.

Placing second was Anthony Batson of Couva, while Anand Adheen of San Fernando placed third. The fourth prize was won by the Maya Shakti Dance Group of Arima and the fifth prize went to Devan Mahase of Tunapuna.

Meanwhile, the following contestants have been selected to appear on the third semi-final round of the Mastana Bahar 2012 competition:

Stinger Boys Tassa Group, Kishan Bhimull, Rajiv Adheen, Mark John Williams, Sharda’s School of Dance, Prem Doodoon, Satnarayan Ramdeo, Kamla Ramharrack and Vasha Brown.

This programme will be recorded on Thursday from 5.30 pm at the Rampersad Brothers Ranch, Raju Trace, San Francique Village in Penal. The jackpot for the Pick-A-Pan contest will be $7,650 cash sponsored by National Flour Mills. Music will be provided by the Rampersad Brothers Orchestra of Penal.

The recording session is free to the public and there will be giveaways from the sponsors of Mastana Bahar 2012.
