ST VINCENT Culture Minister Renee Baptiste extended high praises to the Trinidad and Tobago contingent at the island’s recent grand Gospel Fest.

The festival was hosted by the St Vincent Government, in collaboration with the International Youth for Christ Organisation and Digicel. Artistes from various countries joined their St Vincent counterparts for the event.

TT was ably represented by local Gospel music stars, Winsie-Ann Cuffie and her sister Sherrose. The singing sisters, were accompanied by siblings Candel and Victrina and a full entourage of musicians and dancers with pyrotechnics and special effects engineers, totalling some 50 people.

Culture Minister Baptiste, who warmly welcomed the TT contingent on stage, stressed her admiration “for the standard of excellence” of the team. She even instructed two of her officers to get information from the group, relative to approaches and resources which are used in achieving their standard of work, “so that we can add to what’s in St Vincent”.

In the 75 minutes that the Cuffie sisters were on stage, the crowd at the Victoria Park Stadium were treated to a display of modern technology blended with dynamic, anointed Gospel music.
