Danah Alleyne entertained the audience with a dance, to honour her late uncle....

IT WAS a time to say goodbye when Flaming Word Ministry hosted “An Evening of Classics — A Tribute to the late Herman Pulwarty”.

Pulwarty, a former acting general manager of Caroni (1975) Ltd was a founding member of Flaming Word Ministry and brother-in-law of founder and president Bishop Dave Alleyne.

Hundreds came out to pay tribute to the man who was known for his great love for classical music.

In honouring him, the ministry, which prides itself for being a leader in the performance and creative arts and having a great pool of professional artistes, displayed splendid classical performances by Dylan (The Golden Voice) Peters, Paul Peters, FWM Blaze, Debra (The Original Diva) Baboolal, Catherina Thomas, Sophia (Star) Charles, Zahir (The Prodigy)Mohammed, Shaunie Ramai and of course the internationally renowned Danah Alleyne.

Bishop Alleyne expressed the importance of gratitude and highlighted the outstanding contributions of Pulwarty in establishing Praise City.

He overseered the building of the Ministry’s Empowerment Zone which was used to host countless seminars and development workshops for people from all walks of life. It is also listed as a shelter for disaster with the ODPM.

Also, Pulwarty single-handedly undertook the building and day to day operations of the Flaming Word Early Childhood Care and Education Centre, which provided quality foundational education to thousands of children since its inception.

At the end of the programme guests expressed their amazement at the quality of the performances and were “wowed” by the experience.
