Doubles vendor says thanks
Tuesday, January 19 2010 A Water And Sewerage Authority (WASA) crew yesterday carried out repair works to the area in front of a doubles stall in Rio Claro. The owner Doodnath Samlal told Newsday last week it had created a dust bowl and was hampering daily sales. Yesterday, he said, he was contacted by a WASA official who informed him that a crew was on their way to repair the road. “I want to thank Newsday for their intervention.” Samlal who sells doubles near his home at Naparima Mayaro Road, Robert Village, Tableland told Newsday that he was forced to put up with dust following works carried out by WASA workers and his customers were being affected..
