OVERGROWN bushes at the Housing Development Cooperation (HDC) apartments at Cassia Avenue, San Fernando are causing problems for residents.

Frustrated residents told Hotline that since before Christmas 2009, the grass on the outskirts of the apartments have not been cut. It’s has become a breeding ground for mosquitoes.

One resident who wished to remain unidentified said that officials from the (HDC) usually come to cut the bushes, but since before Christmas we noticed that no one has come.

Residents said they called Hotline as they did not know who or where else to turn with their complaints. But they said they are prepared to take protest action if the problem continues to persist.

Efforts to reach HDC office proved futile as calls went answered.
