DEONARINE Ramdial paid $425 for a water tank at a hardware at Longdenville, Chaguanas, but complained that three weeks later he is still waiting for it.

The disgruntled 58-year-old said that he paid cash for a 400-gallon tank at Desai Hardware on February 2 and was told that workers would have transported the tank later that day to his home located at Orange Field Settlement, Carapichaima.

Ramdial further explained that when he visited the hardware to inquire about the delay three days later a female employee told him that another customer bought four tanks.

However, the workers initially assumed there were five and therefore he had to wait until they got more tanks, Ramdial said.

“I trusted them to bring the tank home because the owners live nearby and I know them well. When I went to the hardware the woman began acting up and said another man purchased four tanks and had his own transport,” Ramdial said.

He is hoping that something is done in order to rectify the problem.

Contacted last week the hardware’s owner Desai Ali said that he had initially given Ramdial the option of getting another tank or a refund.

“ When he came he wanted it right away but we did not have any. I was willing to give him a bigger tank but he refused,” Ali said.
