A CUSTOMER who purchased a pair of jeans at a popular store on High Street, San Fernando, is upset after she went home and realised a button was missing from the jeans’ front pocket.

“I tried it on and there was a space where the button was, I went back that same day to the store but it was already closed for the day.”she said.

The 22 year-old purchased the pair of jeans last Friday and took the item of clothing, along with the bill, hoping to get a refund or an exchange.

She said she was told she could not return the jeans without a tag but told Hotline, there was no tag on the jeans when she purchased it.

“I tried in vain to tell them there was no tag. The sales clerk even told me that they could do nothing, even suggesting that she give the jeans away.

A sales clerk at the store yesterday said no one was authorised to speak to the media except the owner who was not available at the time.
