THE EDITOR: I was extremely surprised to hear Mr Basdeo Panday say that Rienzi Complex and his office were closed today in support of the protest action. I was surprised because for the last two years Rienzi Complex is like a ghost town. You could film and old time western there. And as for Mr Panday’s parliamentary office, well that’s closed all week anyway. It’s never opened.

His call to shut down political operations is also very amusing. The UNC shut down long time. They are ineffective and dormant. The party inspires no one and frustrates everyone.

Mr Panday must acknowledge that he has lost it politically. Time for the party to move on! Give it some air and stop the antics.
