THE EDITOR: This letter is to address the plight of residents of Marac and La Lune villages in Moruga.

There is a brand new desalination water plant in La Lune village and yet the communities are not being serviced by this plant and have to endure long waits for a truck-borne supply of water.

The excuse being given is that the airlock operators of WASA are not opening the air valves and hence the water cannot go into the lines.

The country is undergoing a serious water problem but the desal plant is operational and was built with the intention of servicing these two communities...I would like the authorities to truly explain and rectify this problem.
