Debt vultures circling TT
Saturday, March 20 2010 I believe the Trinidad and Tobago Government have been “hoodwinked” to borrow a term from the writer John Perkins, who exposed the dirty work carried out by “Economic Hit Man (EHM)” in The Confessions of an EHM. The revelations, secrecy and plundering of the nation’s wealth have all the classic symptoms and results described by Mr Perkins in his work. Trinidad and Tobago is on the way to becoming an Ecuador and Panama, the debts to the World Bank and the IMF are greater than can be afforded or repayable.
