THE EDITOR: It was welcome news to learn that Transport Minister Jack Warner, at the recent unveiling of four new water taxis at Staubles Bay, announced that these ferries could also be used for travel to other Caribbean islands, Tobago and perhaps Venezuela.

This venture would go a long way in fostering lasting friendly relationships between us and our close neighbours.

If for some reason the TT/ Venezuela route doesn’t materialise, Mr Jack Warner, shrewd go-getter that he is, would surely find a way to regularise the “PH” water-taxi service that now operates between TT and our Latinos and Latinas south of the border.
