THE EDITOR: I was extremely pleased to read in the Newsday of May 2 an article highlighting the plight of three former public servants.

I however, was astonished to realise that this matter was raised by them with so many public officers and a few prime ministers and all have ignored or not sought to correct what is an obvious contempt of a ruling of the court. I myself being a retired public servant will be seeking redress as this is a clear case of violation of my right for a correct calculation of my pension. Having regard to the ever increasing cost of living and my meagre pension, any increase will be welcomed. There should be no hesitation in correcting this, given the extreme extravagance that is being displayed today with no compunction to any drain on the treasury.

I look forward to a speedy correction of this injustice.
