Provide Walcott scholarships
Saturday, August 18 2012 click on pic to zoom in MAy I take your picture?: A young boy uses his camera phone to photograph Olympic gold medallist Keshorn Walcott as he is escorted to the Haig Street ... THE EDITOR: While I appreciate and fully support the rewards given to Keshorn for his gold medal at the Olympics I feel that moving him into unfamiliar surroundings is counter productive to his future. It would have been better to rebuild his house in Toco and provide the people of Toco with an expansive playing field where the young folks there could improve their sporting talent and skills at the Keshorn Walcott playing field and auditorium. In this way Keshorn’s legacy will live on as an inspiration to all the people of Toco and its surroundings. Also, how about giving a few sport scholarships in a few other sporting disciplines in his name. Dr Clifford Ramcharan
