THE EDITOR: According to recent reports in the news media, young Ms Choc’late Allen seems to be just as misguided as Ms Danah Alleyne who she stoutly defends and who she nominated for an award as an exemplar and role model by the “Crime free youth international awards organisation.”

Fourteen year old Ms Danah Alleyne shot into prominence when she attended a popular nightclub which is restricted to patrons of 18 years and over and without the knowledge or consent of her parents, and participated in unseemly display with an international artiste. The sponsors had every right to withdraw and distance themselves from any participation in that event, since Danah Alleyne can by no stretch of the imagination be considered as an “Exemplar and Role Model” for the vulnerable youths of our country. If the youth of today are to become the leaders of tomorrow, we seem to be heading for serious trouble.
