THE EDITOR: The Attorney General brought legislation to Parliament in which the Opposition disagreed with certain proposed changes. The AG made those changes in the interest of the country so that the law may be passed to effect hangings.
THE EDITOR: The Prime Minister has recently announced further benefits for the elderly who receive old age pension and those on social assistance as a result of physical challenges.
THE EDITOR: Could you please print my letter. I will like to draw to the attention of the Minister of Health what we poor citizens are experiencing of a daily basis at the Radiology Department at the Mt Hope Hospital.

THE EDITOR: I was watching an interview with the Leader of the Opposition on television on Tuesday, and felt bewitched. The Opposition Leader, Dr Keith Rowley’s overview on the PNM’s position on the death penalty sounded very clear and reasonable.
THE EDITOR: I applaud the legislation being piloted by the Honourable Minister of Finance Winston Dookeran to increase in the pension for all categories of retirees to a minimum $3,000. It is a welcomed gesture as long as the State can afford it and the retires earned it.
