THE EDITOR: I think Mr Basdeo Panday is so wrong in trying to expel the Ramjack faction of the party. With all due respect to Mr Panday he founded the UNC party and should be able to make decisions that would benefit the party, but he is missing the larger picture; every political party should work for the benefit of the people, so by criticising the Ramjack team because they voted with the Government is very childish. A lot of bills that would have benefitted the people were not passed before because of petty politics by members of the UNC. This is not the way to represent the people.

Mr Manning may not be the brightest bulb on the political tree, far from it, but sometimes he comes up with some good ideas that would make things better for our people, and every time he comes up with a good bill, Mr Panday and his colleagues fight it down.

Mr Panday must grow up if he wants to be taken seriously.

I think the Ramjack team has shown a lot of guts, and they should be commended for their vote with the Government.
