Baby Faith returns to hospital today
By Odette Loney Monday, August 24 2009 FAMILY of one-month-old Faith Davis are preparing for her return today to the Paediatric Ward of the Wendy Fitzwilliam Children’s Hospital, Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex (EWMSC) Mt Hope, where she is to resume intravenous treatment for an infection to the skin graft on her right wrist. Baby Faith was released into the care of her parents, Earl and Maureen Davis, last week, but doctors said Faith must return to the hospital today, to resume treatment for the infection. The child was discharged to give her mother a few days rest at home at Brothers Road, New Grant. Doctors said the infection is impeding healing of a skin graft she received to treat serious burns to the hand. During the weekend, Faith’s siblings sent “Thank you” notes to members of the public for the assistance they received while the child was in hospital.
