THERE will be no Independence rehearsal tomorrow as planned.

In a statement yesterday, Commissioner of Police James Philbert said the dress rehearsal planned for tomorrow had been cancelled and as a result all roads around the Queen’s Park Savannah will remain open to vehicular traffic.

On Monday, a similar rehearsal caused gridlock around the Savannah and many drivers complained that no one notified them of the exercise.

On Tuesday, the office of the CoP indicated that there would be a rehearsal on Friday, but one day later cancelled it without giving a reason.
