WORKERS from the Port-of-Spain Corporation are busy sprucing up the capital in preparation for this country’s hosting of the Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting (CHOGM) on November 27-29.

Workers have already completed painting around the Hyatt Regency Hotel and are now sprucing up areas around the Hilton where some of the delegates will be staying.

Workers were seen power washing the pavement along Queen’s Hall and the Carlton Savannah Hotel where Queen Elizabeth II and members of The Royal Household will be staying.

The official said spraying, painting and trimming of trees will be completed at Independence Square, Columbus Square, Memorial Park and South Quay.
