A SISTER'S GRIEF: Karon Williams, 34, who yesterday identified the skull and bones remains of her murdered sister Dianne whose beheaded, dismembered ...
KARON WILLIAMS, 34, younger sister of Dianne Williams, 37, whose mutilated and headless body was found last week Wednesday at the Forres Park dump in Claxton Bay, along with the headless body of her (Dianne’s) son Shaquille Morgan, eight, yesterday ran out of the Forensic Science Centre in St James, screaming after she viewed her sister’s skeletal head.
“Oh, God! I can’t believe what I just see,” screamed Karon. Shortly after 1 pm, Karon ran out into the car park of the centre and approached Newsday, wiping away tears. “Oh God, if you see what I just did. I wish you can see what this killer did to my sister. I saw her head with only three strands of hair,” she said.
As Karon tried to explain what she saw, she spotted a “dried up” chicken bone on the ground. Picking it up, she said: “this is what my sister looks like. Is only white, dried up bones you seeing. I went in there to view my sister. Her head was on a table and the rest of her body parts were all over, some of her bones were in a tray. My sister’s body was cut up like how someone would cut up chicken.”
Newsday understands that an autopsy was performed on Williams’ remains shortly after 1 pm, however, up to press time no result was disclosed. Newsday was also told that information surrounding the autopsy on Williams’ remains were “strictly” handed over to investigating Homicide detectives. An autopsy will be performed on Shaquille’s remains today.
Asked if she believe she will get justice and if she supports the call for the resumption of hangings, Karon replied: “Justice is here already, justice is here already. Hangings have to resume, especially for this brutal murder.”
Karon, who currently lives in Beetham Gardens said she first read about the incident last Thursday and wondered who was behind the “horrid” crime. Never in her wildest dream did she think that she was reading a news story on her sister and nephew.
“On Sunday morning, one of my neighbours came looking for me. I asked her what she wanted and she said ‘I don’t know what to say but do you know about the bodies they found at the Claxton Bay dump?’ I said ‘yes’ and she said it was my sister.
I ran to the top of the street, back to the bottom of the street and through other streets bawling. I collapsed and rolled on the ground,” the weeping woman said.
“I feel it from deep within. There are many nights I cannot sleep, I just wake talking to the candles that I would light for her”. The heads of Williams and Shaquille, were found buried behind a house in Ste Madeleine on Saturday. Six persons were detained by the police in connection with the murders.
Williams was HIV positive and so too was Shaquille, whose father Bob Morgan died last year. Williams never hid the fact that she and her son were ill whenever she appealed to the public for financial help to meet their daily needs.
Williams and her son lived at Tarodale Gardens, San Fernando. Police said they believe Williams struck up a relationship with a man who later became abusive to her. Since the murders, the man has not been seen.
