Doctors are prepared to accept whatever decision is made by the ministry appointed panel investigating the circumstances of the death of 29-year-old Chrystal Ramsoomair at the San Fernando General Hospital.

This view was expressed by General Secretary of the Medical Professionals Association of TT Dr Shehenaz Mohammed, on behalf of the five doctors interviewed at the conference room of the Mt Hope Women’s Hospital yesterday.

The panel will examine whether there were any breaches of protocols and practices were breached. The focus will be on systems and processes.

MPATT was present during the interviews which took place in just over five hours from 9 am to after 2 pm. Mohammed said the panel did not indicate that the doctors would need to be interviewed again. They thanked the doctors for participating.
