Colonel Patrick Taylor (Commandant), Officers, Warrant Officers and Other Ranks of the Trinidad and Tobago Cadet Force yesterday expressed sincere condolences to the family of Mr Joel Bodkin 29, of Straker Village, Laventille. “We lament the untimely and tragic nature of his passing,” a release from the Cadet Force said.

The Cadet Force denied Bodkin was a member of the Cadet Force nor has he been a member of the Cadet Force, but said that Bodkin was in fact a relative of a serving member.

“We wish to assure those within our ranks and other well-wishers in the cadet movement that our colleague and the family are safe and coping with the tragedy under the circumstances. We ask that you keep the family circle in your prayers and thoughts as we join the national community in our concern for the scourge of violence threatening our nation,” the release said.
