THE manhunt for a 32-year-old man accused of sexually assaulting his eleven-year- old female relative for the past five years ended yesterday, after the man was found dead.

The La Brea man’s motionless body was discovered by relatives hanging from a tree in La Brea.He had been missing since last Sunday.

According to a police report, the young girl, accompanied by her mother, went to the La Brea Police Station last Sunday, where she told officers she had sex with the relative on several occasions while visiting him at his La Brea home.

She told officers the man had been having sexual intercourse with her since she was six.

The girl’s parents are separated and she regularly spends time at the relative’s home.

Reports said at about 3.30 pm yesterday, relatives who were in search of the man found him hanging from a tree near Point D’or, La Brea.

Investigations are continuing.
