Keshorn Walcott, Olympian: “My resolution is to focus on the World Championships to be held in Russia during mid-August. My objective is to stay healthy, practice hard and eat smart, and look forward to a good competition in Russia.”

George Bovell III, Olympian: “This year, I am really going to be into my diet and health and live the healthiest lifestyle possible. I will be very conscientious about what I am putting into my body. Trying to be as healthy as possible. I plan to stay away from junk foods completely. No soft drinks, none of those kinds of stuff. I also want to have a more balanced life instead of focusing only on what I am doing. I want more time for myself and for my family.”

Dr Roodal Moonilal, Housing Minister: “I will work harder in 2013 than I did in 2012 and accelerate our ministry’s delivery programme. I will work towards building a more caring community. I will try my best to visit the doctor and to do regular routine check-ups, and to spend a bit more time in the gym.”

Herbert Volney, Member of Parliament: “For 2013, I would like to renew my commitment to the cause of criminal justice administration in Trinidad and Tobago. I hope to be useful in that regard again. At the constituency level, I hope to follow through with the development of the Bangladesh area, one of the poorest communities in the country. I am working with a plan to alleviate the poverty in that area. Now that I am not straddled with ministerial responsibility, I hope that in the next two years in my term in office to achieve much more. On the personal level I will continue to be a good father, a good husband, a good sibling, a good friend, and a good Member of Parliament and to be available, like never before, to my constituents.”

Jearlean John, executive administrator: “To work harder and make my contribution meaningful, and to be hopeful for this great country that we live in. I want God to continue to give me the strength to continue to work even harder, and that I can be gracious in all things that I do.”
