PM: Probe continues

Thursday, February 7 2013

PRIME Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar yesterday said investigations are ongoing regarding media claims against the credentials of 1990 Attempted Coup Enquiry commissioner Haffizool Ali-Mohammed.

Speaking after the launch of a Children’s Carnival show at Bhupsingh Park, Penal, Persad- Bissessar said: “the allegations being made about that Commissioner are in fact being investigated as we speak.”

She added, “In the interim, you would realise that he is not actually sitting in at the Commission of Enquiry.” The Prime Minister went on to say, “we are not perfect, we are not in a perfect world and when things are brought to our attention we will do our best to correct it.”
